Gospel Community is part of the Loughborough Gathering of The Crowded House church planting network. Our aim is to serve those who often feel neglected in Loughborough East through a number of initiatives

Joseph’s Storehouse
Joseph’s Storehouse is a Food Parcels Project run to supply food parcels to those who receive benefits in and around Loughborough. The food scheme is run out of a Christian Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre. We have been helping at Joseph’s Storehouse since February 2009, preparing food bags on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons before handing them out. It has been great to learn how to love and bless the local area, and to befriend many of those who depend on this service. When we can, we try and run some extra food events, so that we can enjoy eating with those who come along and get to know them better.

Local Residents’ Association

Many of our team who live in the Hastings area attend the Local Residents’ Association.This has been a wonderful way to learn from local people about local issues. Out of this we have been able to provide man-power to support local projects, and serve and celebrate with many of the diverse culture groups within our area. So far we have been involved in community BBQ's, gardening projects and family fun days. We hope to be a blessing to our locality and enjoy learning from locals about the culture and history.

Sundays
We often enjoy an open house on Sundays where we can eat, rest and work with those in the community. If you live in Loughborough East and are in need of help in anyway please do contact us, hopefully we will be able to help.

Teaching Meetings
We meet up with other Gospel Communities weekly to read the Bible together and engage in discussion on what it means and how it should shape our lives. This involves telling bible stories, or reading books of the bible together in such a way that people can participate in the discussion and ask their own questions about Jesus and His word. We believe the word of God has the power to change us, and so we love to share his life giving word with others.

Our prayer and desire is that we will be able to share Jesus’ story with those who we get to know.
