Welcome to Grace Church!

We’re a group of around 30 people, young and old, in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire and the surrounding towns and villages. We love Jesus, we love people, and we love living in and serving our area. We’re enthusiastically part of The Crowded House Network, and love being involved in this extended family of churches.

We believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is for people of every kind – every background, every age, every colour, every personality type. And it’s good news that makes us into a family – God’s family. And that’s not just a nice idea: it’s real!

So that’s why we’re committed to ‘Gospel Communities’: small groups of people committed to loving and serving one another as family, helping each other know Jesus more, and reaching out together with the good news about him. These groups are the cutting-edge of church life for us—they’re where discipleship, community, family life and mission really happen.

At present, we’re two Gospel Communities—the Ripon GC, committed to loving, serving and sharing the good news of Jesus there; and the Boroughbridge GC, committed to doing the same things in Boroughbridge itself and the villages around it. The two Gospel Communities meet together at our Gathering on a Sunday for a big family reunion with singing and teaching and feasting and playing, either in Boroughbridge or in Great Ouseburn. But the Gospel Communities throughout the week are really where it’s at!

And our big vision? To see each other grow in our joy in Christ, and to see Gospel Communities springing up all over this beautiful area as many people from round here come to discover the reality of Christ and all he’s done.
