Who are we and what do we do?

We are the Boroughbridge GC, part of the Grace Church, Boroughbridge Gathering.

We are people from Boroughbridge and the surrounding area committed to loving one another, serving people and reaching this area with the good news of Christ.

We are a farmer, a physio, an electrician, a shopworker, a teaching assistant, a number of mums and an even larger number of kids!

We haven't been going long as a Gospel Community, so we're just finding our feet and don't have much in place in terms of structures and defined ministries. But we're learning to spend time together, to love each other better, to help each other grow in Christ and to reach out to our friends together.

How have we seen God at work?

We've seen God at work in lots of ways:

Helping us to get more excited about the gospel
Helping us to love each other more
Giving us lots of chances to share Christ with people
Helping us to start to get to know each other's friends
Helping us to find ways of building relationships with people together (e.g. the local toddler group and school) and share the good news with them

How can you support us in prayer?

Please pray that:

We would grow in our understanding of the gospel and in love for each other
We would grasp more our identity as Christ's body and his family on mission
We would have wisdom and insight as we think about where the Spirit is leading us to focus our time and energy for mission
We would have courage and big gospel hearts to shape our lives around each other and the mission God is calling us to together
People would come to know Christ, Jesus be glorified, and Gospel Communities spring up all over this part of North Yorkshire!
